Global Overview

A Global Cooperation Space

The 4th International Conference on Gender Equality is designed to bring together governments, intergovernmental organizations, healthcare institutions, universities, diplomatic actors, development cooperation agencies, philanthropic organizations, private sector innovators, civil society stakeholders, development actors, and community leaders.

Taking place in the historic city of Uppsala, Sweden, ICGE-2027 seeks to strengthen cross-regional collaboration between the Global North and Global South amid growing geopolitical uncertainty, widening health disparities, climate-related pressures, economic instability, and increasing strain on international development systems.

Aligned with Agenda 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the conference advances evidence-informed policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, and innovative approaches to healthcare systems, maternal wellbeing, and sustainable development.

Why This Conference Matters

In a changing world, cooperation must become more intentional.

The international community continues to navigate interconnected global challenges affecting healthcare systems, development cooperation, social resilience, and sustainable growth. Climate-related crises, demographic transitions, humanitarian pressures, technological transformation, migration, economic instability, and widening inequalities are reshaping global development priorities.

Despite significant progress in public health and sustainable development, major disparities persist in maternal health outcomes, healthcare accessibility, healthcare financing, access to reproductive healthcare services, workforce capacity, and health systems resilience.

  • Strategic international dialogue
  • Institutional partnerships
  • Evidence-informed policymaking
  • Innovation and knowledge exchange
  • Sustainable financing frameworks
